What is a max charge for that? And would you use 2F or 3?
What does an .82 cal RB weigh, and what diameter is it?
What is the weight of that pistol?

Very interesting! Especially in left hand.
And looks well executed too. :applause:
Are you making (or having made) a custom mould? Or is there someone selling balls that large?
An .810 RB of pure lead should be just shy of 800grs unless I've done my math wrong. What kind of charge are you planning on putting behind that. Talk about a hand cannon! :shocked2:

pistol is 5 pounds and yes 2ff powder but it will take what ever you can handle the .
round ball fired into sand came out at 1.25
i built this thing after doing the dual at the ravensdale rondevous ( funnest thing ever , guy in kilt saw me watching for ever and loaned me his pistol and loading gear to try it ) you stand back to back walk ten paces then turn both faceing down range toward skeet on a pole , first one to blast skeet moves on

Ah, should have noticed the book cover.
Still looks like a very nicely done pistol.

i drew into the solid wood block what i wanted to end up with and it came out just as invisioned

I'll bet that thing eats powder and lead like a half-starved coon hound! That's just stupendously cool! How thick is the barrel wall?

i really had a hard time at the tang area and finally just called it good enough (was my first attempt at something like this

used 200+ yr old aquafortes formula on the curly maple stock , interesting aplication wipe it on and nothing wood looks wet , then blanch over open flame heat
