The translated poem thread got me thinking about adding to my process with the scouts. I help/coordinate various scouting shooting events at our range and my old scout troop. I tell them about flintlocks, percussion rifles, the hawken bros, cap and ball pistols, mtn man time period and then a couple of other guys take over talking about those modern guns. You know the ones made after the civil war. Keep in mind we ONLY shoot real black powder in our section of the range experience. Others do the other things.
This forum has had the "funny" prayer thread about shooting straight, we had the other thread on the hunting prayer. What we be a good thought for kind of an opening thought/poem for the days experience for the scouts. Not really religious based although ok in context.
Any ideas or have others done similar things with an opening thought comment to groups of 10-15 scouts at a time, maybe 90 total?
