A lube that imitates spit?

I noticed that when I put patch in my mouth and let it get good and wet that I have very little fowling. So, little that I might even be able to skip wiping between shots. However, I kind of dislike idea of sticking something into my mouth. I have tried just spitting on the patch, but it just does not work the same. I have also used crisco it works, but just not as well as spit.

Does anyone know of any other lubes that seem to work as good as spit?

1/10 mix of dish soap and water.

Made a batch of Stumpkiller's Moose Snot...tested it on Saturday with makeumsmoke...put 15 .60 roundballs through the 62, didn't run a cleaning patch once. Stuff works great...as a matter of fact, I patterned for turkeys after the roundballs with #5 lead and didn't swab before that. She cleaned up good the next day. Only difference between Stumps recipe and what I made is I used olive oil instead of castor oil. I highly recommend it!

Truthfully the Bevel Bros did and an article in muzzle blasts about a year ago comparing lubes and found urine was good as well as spit. So if you don't want to put the patch in your mouth you might consider the other end! :surrender: :surrender:
