A. MARTIN METAL FINISH FORMULA

After a lot searching I've found many references to this type of patina/metal finish used by A. Martin, although no actual specifics. I've seen the wonderful work Allen Martin does with rifles on his website. I have not been able to find threads with the "patina recipe" though.

Has anyone found threads on this subject or have the "recipe"/technique?

Has anyone had experience using this method?
