I personally don't shoot things this old, its simply a collectors piece for me. That said plenty of folks do shoot originals, but I think the majority go for a modern, (safer?) shooter.
Well if you go buy a Pedersoli you just go and shoot it. With an original it's probably a good idea to take it to a gunsmith before shooting, and of course if the gunsmith tells you it isn't safe to shoot that sucks.
