Nice looking rifle.
What type is it?
Does it have a round or square barrel?
Did you build or buy it built?
How heavy is it?
I have thought about buying a squirrel rifle but I also want a deer rifle.
Most of the deer I have shot have been 50yrds or less with my BP rifle.

Does it have a chambers lock?

Sorry for all the dumb questions but I have to plan ahead to come up with enough money and I don’t want some over the counter cheap junk again.

Its 28ga smoothbore (a.k.a. smooth-rifle)...weighs 8.5lbs
Suggest you consider a do-it-all 28ga or 20ga "smooth rifle"...doves, deer, squirrel, turkey, crows, etc.
I had it built by Matt Avance at TVM in their Early Virginia model.
Super Premium + + curly maple
Brass furniture
Rice 42" B-weight .54cal(28ga)swamped octagon barrel
Davis #6 double set triggers
The lock you asked about is a Chambers Deluxe Siler
