Took my son out today to shoot his M/L CVA Bobcat that I don't shoot anymore. After the fifth shot he started zeroing in on the target. Achieved a nice 3 inch group at 25 yards by the time we quit. Not bad for his first day out. I started him on 22lr about a year ago. Anyways he loved shooting his M/L. Good day at the range.

Good deal!
I'm taking my 16 yr old son out tomorrow for his first time shooting a muzzleloader. I hope to make him a shooting partner.

Just a thought mwindy, but you may want to think about getting your son involved with the 4H. They have a real nice muzzeleoading rifle program.

Dave B watch out ... those young eyes can surely catch up and pass our old eyes ...

Having a shooting buddy is great .. Good Luck.

Did 4H with my daughter ... Baking, Pottery, Sewing I believe. Didn't know they had a Shooting Program. Thanks for the infor.

Isn't that the truth!
My eyes were great until I turned 43 - then comes reading glasses and worse. I can usually hold my own shooting with my 16 yr old son, I have lots more patience and I don't flinch too much. He always does better when we shoot air rifles or .22s.

I almost feel like my life as I knew it ended when my boy quit shooting with me, we had the best of times, now he is old and works all the time. He could and this is no BS(Ox Dung) shoot a beer can at 75 yards with a Hawkin Woodsman, 50 cal ball, hit most every shot. I can't even see that far.
