Up for sale is this Enfield cavalry carbine I brought back from Afghanistan in 2016. It is most likely a locally made copy. The lock is functional and it still has some rifling, but the muzzle shows heavy wear from the iron ramrod. I have not shot it and would recommend inspection by a gunsmith before firing. Also comes with the customs forms from Bagram AFB. Asking $500 plus shipping. Would also consider trades for a flintlock rifle or trade gun.

I don't know much about these but it sure looks interesting and likes it would be a heap of fun, what calibration is the muzzle and what year was this piece made?

Muzzle is .59-.60. The lock plate says 1856, but who knows with all the copies made over there. Could have been made the week before I bought it.

One of the cooler things I’ve seen for sale here (although my personal bring-back preference would’ve been a Tula AKS-74U 😆). Thanks for your service and good luck with the sale!

Agree with Post #8. Looks genuine. In this instance, it may have been a purchase by the Afghan government. The additional markings added later to signify Afghan government property. Would not be unusual.

Rick.
