Listen *******....you strike me as one of those pompous tricks that that has to stomp on everyone to feel better about your shortcomings. Yeah I made a mistake, caught it when the ball was flush. I made a joke about my mistake. Imagine that, laughing at yourself! You should try it sometime because everyone else in your circle is probably doing it behind your back
thanks for sharing 👍 I went to look for a pair of pliers and put them in my shooting bag lol 😆

I did the same thing but happened to have a pair of pliers in my bag. grabbed the the patch with pliers and pulled it out. Without pliers I am pretty sure I would have done the same as Hydro.
I know, right. So many times I would have been put out of action up in the woods had I not had a pair of pliers with me. Many times they have saved the day.

I consider a pair of pliers so important that I have wrapped the handles on mine with white duct tape in case I drop them. I also wrap the jaws with duct tape to help cut down on gouging up the ramrod for whenever it decides to not behave.

I have a rule - I never carry on a conversation while loading. Strictly concentrate on doing things in order.
I seldom go to a shooting range. Whenever I do, I have learned to not hold a discussion with anyone until I'm at a good stopping point. I have found that many people at a public gun range has never been exposed to traditional ML's, so they ask a lot of questions. I now tell them "Not being rude here, be I'll be happy to go over this when I take a break. That I need to concentrate on what I'm doing at the time".

I know that I really have to concentrate when loading my double rifles and shotguns.
For me it works to 'store' the ramrod in the barrel I'm not currently working on.

So far so good...............

Nuts - I just jinxed myself.......
