Another curiosity.

This pistol came with the one i posted earlier. Now before y'all snap on me look at the pictures. I believe it's a break down percussion pistol in less than 22 ga (a .22 doesn't fit in bore), but I can't see putting powder, patch?, and ball down that small hole. It may be Italian made by EIG? Any thoughts or info will be appreciated. Thanks.

The ELG over an asterisk proof mark is Belgian.

Good catch Hawk54 on the ELG proof ID, thanks, it's definitely one of theirs.
That proof was used from 1810 to 1853.

Parlor pistol, using a cap to propel the lead ball or pellet. It’s not a reproduction, it’s the real thing! You would place a thick plank in the fireplace , tack a target on it, and pop away! If the bore is good, they are a popular collectible!

The barrel was proof-tested in Liege, Belgium, and passed.
