I went out today for the final time this season, taking my Pedersoli RMH along for company. I only had a doe tag, having already taken my one antlered buck a year limit. I haven't shot a "girl" in over three decades, just bought the tag to be legal, with no intention to shoot anything. Hunted from my stand, a folding stool up against a tree. Got my buck from this exact spot a few weeks ago. Always kind of melancholy these days, as a fella never knows when it might be his last deer season. I am not getting any younger, and you never know what a year may bring. I did see a fat doe wander by at 2:38pm, and watched her disappear into the distance. The season goes on for a few more days, but tomorrow is bringing a vast winter storm to my area, which effectively ends my season. Anyways, I've attached a pic of my fancy hunting apparatus, along with my view down the creek, and the buck I got here a few weeks ago. Hope I get to do it again next year...

Nice long rifle. What is it?

Will it to be not over, but until the next time. We still have some time in PA for flint lock season, and squirrel till the end of February.

Nice looking area. 👍 You saw a doe so that's a good day. My setup is usually not much different except that I use a low turkey chair.

It's nice to go out and just reminisce. I do that all the time. Mostly with a stick bow in hand stumpshooting through previous hunting areas...both old and recent. Just did that about a week ago for an afternoon.
