Yes I probably will do some scrimshaw on it. but I think I will put it away for a while, or use it until I decide just what I want on it. You can see in the above the things I won't be using. I am making another horn now, might scrim both at the same time. I'll try to send pix then. Weather's nice now, time to burn powder. Len

Very nice horn.

I have one that has been incomplete for a year or so now. I can't decide on how to finish the base plug and strap attachment. I had decided one way, but as I got closer to finishing, I changed my mind because I didn't think I would fit the overall look. So, there it sits on my display case, with no what to attach the strap to the rear because I changed my mind and put it away. :shake: But, it's the best one I completed to date.

Send in Pix! If there is an idea on how to do it there are some very talented fellas on this forum who are willing to share their knowledge.

There is a military sci-fi book with a 7000ton armored gun carrier in it. The mascot painted on the frontal armor is a 20ft tall image of "Bun-Bun" a Psychotic Rabbit with a switch-blade. That might fit the bill..

Yur gittin me all quivery jest thinkin about it. That would make the PC Nazis scared to even ask.

I borrowed the map from a friend named Jim. It is printed in the lower border " The Great Lakes in 1755" Reproduced from an engraving in the collection of Historic Urban Plans, Ithaca, new York. He doesn't remember where he got it. The names of the places and Indians is in French. I think this would be too early for the York style horn pictured but, I an doing another and think I will go for the French and Indian period style. Might make a good companion for my Tulle.

If your shooting in the smoothbore league shoots their in MI, look up Jon Bertolet and take a look at his map horn, I believe it has a similiar map on his horn.

In reply to beaverman. don't recall the name might have cut each others trail though. Always like to look at another horn You get good ideas from them.
