Not #40 drill, but my last few patch material purchases were for 2 or 3 yards x 60” wide each of ticking and 10 oz canvas from BurlapFabric. The ticking measures .015” thick, .012” compressed, and the canvas .022”, .0165” compressed, at least the way I measure. I use a radius anvil micrometer for the compressed measurement, which I have found the more important of the two measurements.

Looking at the information I’ve kept with the material, the ticking (Black Stripe Ticking) is identified as BK-TICK. The stripes are printed on one side of the fabric and different colored striped ticking should measure near the same, but I’d expect some minor lot to lot variation.

The 10 oz natural duck that I received is identified as DKCLTH-NAT-10. Different than what you found, but as far as how similar the products actually are, that is a question for the supplier. From their description, I suspect it is the same.
