Just found this site from my NAHC site. It looks like a place I will want to stay awhile. I have been into muzzleloading since '76. Started with a cheap kit I picked up in Spain. I was designed as a wall hanger but the barrel was proofed. So I drilled a flash hole and loaded her up. When I touched it off I was supprised by the amount of smoke. I was more suprised to see a hole in the target near center! Since then I have built a half a dozen kits from CVA and Traditions and Lyman. So when my Dad cut down his walnut tree and maple tree, I had to have some of the wood. I have built several from his trees and still have 3 or 4 good walnut half-stock blanks and a nice maple full stock blank. The full stock will be a .40 someday. I have a good barrel, nice lock and single set trigger. All I have to do is find 800 free hours!
