"Where's the pictures of the rifle you said "oldarmy" was making for you, i haven't seen them yet. At least i think it was you that told me that, i'll have to go back and check."

The rifle I was talking about is in the "Photos" section of the forum. It's under "Sitting Fox Lehigh rifle".
It's a custom rifle that was built and carved by Ray Franks, but was finished up by oldarmy.
Should be getting it from Mike pretty soon.
The Lancaster rifle he's making for me is mostly done, and he'll have some pics of that soon. The LOTM rifle project will be sometime after January.

I had a nice pedersoli flintlock frontier rifle in .45.
It was a nice shooting, well built gun.
Notice they don't keep their re-sale value very well..
Custom made flintlocks with good quality American made parts do..
Kind of like a Harley vs a Honda. :hmm:
I just have this thing about "American made".
If we had a "primitive only" season in New Hampshire..with an extra deer tag..
Like in PA.
I could make a living building and selling simple flintlock hunting rifles.
No frills, just a light, straight shooting working mans rifle.
Will have to call up my friends in high places
Anyway,
Jimmy as soon as the box comes from Danny, your Sitting fox is going to ship.
I would keep it if it was me. Your brother can buy his own :hmm:

You said in your post, "Commenting on how sharp the rifle looked and could they shoot her when i take her out. Of course i asked them had they lost their minds or something . Won't "NOBODY" and i mean "NOBODY" ever shoot this rifle again, but me.", and that's fine but if I may suggest something.

If one of your buddies who is interested in shooting it would make a good hunting partner you might want to say, "sure. I'll let you know when and where."

I suspect that if he shoots it a time or two he will be as hooked as you are.
If he is, then he will be easy to talk in to getting one for himself and would make a good hunting buddy when deer season rolls around. :)

:shake: Thats the problem, they are my hunting buddies. Their just into,(and forgive me for saying this) :barf: "inlines" :barf: Yet not a one of them has taken a deer much over 80 or 90 yards with their modern guns. Heck, i bet 85% of the population on this site could do that or farther, with their flinters. And if they want to shoot one, i've got a T/C hawken .50 cal flintlock they can shoot, or my .50 cal T/C NewEnglander, but not my Lancaster. :nono: I'll let'em look at it real close, maybe even touch it, if they're real careful. :haha:

Hold on tight there Jimmy, the box went out this afternoon, back to "oldarmy" and he'll be getting your rifle out to you as soon as he gets it.

Ah-ha.....So YOUR the reason for the hold-up. :cursing: :rotf:
Yeap!! I'am the culpret. My daddy always said, i was a dime, holding up a dollar. :bull: Oh what did he know anyway's. I had that bog ole box in the bed of my truck, just so when ever i went to town i could send it, but i kept forgetting it was back there. I have one of those fancy bed covers and if i can't see it, then i usually end up forgetting. So when i saw that it was holding you up on getting you your rifle, i got on the ball and got it to the post office quick, fast, and in a hurry. I thought i may have needed it to send the Lancaster back in case i didn't like the rifle. :rotf: I don't think i got all the tape off the box good, before i saw that this rifle wasn't going back. Good luck and good shooting, let me know how well it does. Post lots & lots of pictures. :hatsoff:

No worries. As soon as I get it, I'll be sending some more pics. I didnt think you would be sending that Lancaster back. Once you get one of Mike's guns, the hard part is trying NOT to buy another.
