Curious about Early Rustic Arms. Have read the owners articles in Backwoodsman Magazine, like what I see on the website. I'm particularly interested in the "Colonial" model, 5th one down from the top.

Has anyone dealt with Mr. Williams or handled any of him firearms? Just looking for information at this point. Thanks.

I have a fowler kit from ERA. Thought it was everything advertised. Got it a little earlier than promised. Larry was easy to work with. GC

A member in the unit I reenact with has a club butt by Larry. Nice job, pretty good quality, but the barrels I think he makes himself. They shoot fine, but the walls are very think, which makes for a heavy gun. I think the barrel was 52" or 54". His kits look good, but have never seen one. Best bet is to call him and get to know him, I hear he's very easy to talk to. goo luck!

Larry Williams and Jack Hubbard make some of the best guns available for not a whole lot of money with Larry offering a little more variety and at a somewhat lower price. I don't see how you can go wrong and if you really want to save money, Larry's kits and his the white" guns are great for the money.Sure you can get a beautifully crafted custom made gun with all the bells and whistles for about $3500.00 or so but if your budget constraints are pretty tight then these guys are the way to go. Both of them are good friends of mine and my endorsements are unsolicited and unpaid- well maybe a cold beer or two.

I talked to Larry before I decided on a TVM Southern Rifle. He's a great guy. He's not selling guns in the white anymore though, just finished or kit

Thanks to all who responded with links and info. As I stated, I'm just gathering material at this point, but hopefully will be purchasing my next gun from someone soon.
