i dont understand the smart assed replys im not selling this stuff i just wanted to know if any one else ever used ,i know you can re-boil water ,and re-use it( if you are that lame) but that dosent answer my question, so why even bother to answer a post if you are only going to make some stupid statement like the above two, :cursing: ever time i post anything that i think will benifit the board i get flamed for it so i will post no more on this forum no wonder we have lost so many good members with the way most questions are answerd now, :cursing: .

Hey, I'm just glad he's went off on somebody besides me for a change! :haha:
I've used home brews with peroxide before. It works fine and I never had any corrosion problems with it.
I use water mostly...hot , cold , in between, it's all the same to me and it all works fine.

:rotf: That would be enough to throw someone off of using it!

I started to post it above but didn't but I have been using the Black-Solve that my good friend John put me on to. Actually he had to beat me before I would try something new but I finally gave in and tried it.

This sounds similar to the above product, in that it is watery but you don't use it over and over again. But I can tell you that the black solve is great and it is does the best job.

For those who have not tried it, Black Solve is sold in a concentrate that is mixed to make a quart of solution. I pour some down the bore after stopping up the nipple hole and let it sit a while and then pump a patch up and down and finally pump all of the solution out through the nipple hole. (I use the 1/4 x 28 fitting with the surgical tube attached) And within just a few patches it is perfectly clean. Then I go back and spray a little W-D to displace any of the water that may have stayed in around the breach area and that is it.

And I am not selling this stuff! :):) Just a good product, simple, clean, effective and relatively inexpensive.

If it was demo'd and "approved" by the North American Hunting Club, shouldn't they have a product review somewhere? I searched their website and google and couldn't find anything.

If it works as advertised, it would really be a great thing. Does anyone recall seeing any product review in any NAHC newsletters or anything?

Thanks for informing our Muzzleloading Team of a product that most or some haven't seen/used before. I think that's a good idea on your part. Though I am not a Moderator, I encourage you to bring any additional information to this forum on sidelock muzzleloading.

Opinions due vary on this forum. It can vary from roundballs, type of gun, rate of twist, bullet or brand/type of powder used. I must state that some folks do not consider geographic locations of our muzzleloading team and the availability of products to specific locations throughout the U.S. It comes down to anyone's choice: hot water, warm water, solvents or just swabing with your favorite lube. Or you can consider the types of powder availiable to persons throughout the world.

In conclusion, I encourage you to share any new/old information that may assist or help the fellow muzzleloaders in this forum. IMHO, your information/comments are vaulable to this forum.

Thank you for providing this forum for another option of muzzleloading maintenance.
