If you bring a cold gun inside it may have condensation form on the outside.

To prevent condensation in the bore put a piece of tape over the muzzle. That keeps the warm moist air out of the bore. The outside cold air is very low humidity. The tape traps the dry air in the bore. It will not condense water if the temperature is increased. IF moist room air gets inside the cold barrel you may get condensation.

The tape will burst before the ball hits it. it will not effect accuracy. Pipe wrap tape is good for this, that wide tape that looks like electrical tape. I am sure other types of tape will work fine too. Be sure the muzzle is clean and dry so the tape sticks well.

For hunting tape over the muzzle is a good idea. IT keeps debris and water out of the barrel.
