Anyone built the schuetzen rifle using Track of the Wolf parts?

I have built a Schutzen but not with TOW parts. Rice barrel, L&R lock, hooked breech from MBS.

I didn't see a Schuetzen in Track of the Wolf's listings but I know Pecatonica River Longrifles sells one.

One of the reasons I know they sell one is because I have built one from their kit.

Mine is a .40 caliber with a barrel that was made by Phil Quaglino, a noted marksman who lived in Florida. The barrel is made for paper patched bullet with a 1:18 twist and rifling grooves that are only about .0015 deep.
The rear sight was sold by Dixie Gunworks a long time ago but unfortunetly they don't offer it now.

It is an excellent shooter but the bullets to feed it are rather expensive so I don't shoot it often.

That is awesome. You are correct about the kit listing. They show a stock, you have to hunt for it, then a list of parts. Thanks for showing us your rifle. Very nice.

Gun show find. Don’t know much about it. Green mountain barrel, about a 1-66 twist, 50 cal.

It looks like a Schuetzen style target rifle. If it is a Schuetzen it will have a very shallow grooved, fast twist rifling. Something like a 1:18 or a 1:20.
If it does have the slow 1:66 twist it should be good for shooting patched roundballs but if it has the fast twist most Schuetzens have it will only shoot long, heavy bullets.
Nice looking gun though. :)
