I'd like to get a copy of some kind of primitive sketch.Anything to do with hunting or Rendevouz.I'm looking to transfer a good drawing over to my shooting box for a small winters project. Is there a site that anyone knows of that has some drawings?

Use a Google search for Indian Sketch. Then click on image at the top of the search page. Look through all the line drawings and sketches on all the pages. I can't give you a specific link because there are too many. You might want to try the same type of search with other key words such as flintlock sketch or mountain man sketch etc. Good luck. It's a good idea.

Don't know if you are looking for inidan motiffs or 18th and 19th century western art? There are several good sources for them. most museums and galleries have an online tour that features selections from their collections. the public library, in the arts and anthropology/archeology and native american stuies. Don't overlook the general history section. Find out names of various 18th and 19th century artists especially from the footnotes and credits in any books that might use an example in their publication. you can bet that the original source has other examples posted online or there are links to them.
Recently I've been using photos that I or others have shot at Rondys and have posted online for art ideas. The material is all out there... its just finding the place to start digging in
