Anyone get conicals to shoot out of a Pedersoli Kentucky pistol?

I have some 180 and 220 grain .454 conical bullets that fit the bones of both my Pedersoli Kentucky pistols but before I pack all this up and go to the range, has anyone had any success with this?

I had tried .445 Minies last summer and results were just "ok" from what I remember.
