Wow! That’s nice! You make those to sell?I make my patterns from the paper grocery bags. Cut the bag to lay flat, fold in half, put the pistol inside and sketch around the perimeter. Cut out the rough pattern, wrap it around the gun and refine as necessary.

A very good point. I use deerskin suede to line.Oh, if one does want to use a soft leather liner in the holster, then one also needs to add extra width to many patterns, as the liner takes up space and can make an otherwise correct size pattern too small.

Crayola crayons, like you used as a kid, can be used as edge dressing. "Color" the leather then buff and burnish.
