Quite honestly, this thread was unnecessary and potentially damaging to a great builder. As usual, his response was classy, honest, and direct. I move that this entire thread be deleted and you carry on your business with Roy in private and away from this public forum.
Every business opens itself to being reviewed in public. That's the nature of it. A business has to be able to handle the good with the bad. The public deserves a balanced review of any business.

Their forum has a 198 members! How much motivation is that compared to here?

That works both ways.... Jim.

This issue is not between Homesteader and the Ancient Ones of Maine. It is between Bill and Roy.

The AOM have nothing to do with it.

Really, it's about Roy's reputation with the buying public that's at stake. IMO

Might be something as simple as a phone call could help both parties ,, everyone can fall on hard times ,, sometimes you just have to tell people ,,,,

I have tried to get in touch with Roy almost daily for a very long time. It would be wonderful to get some sort of contact from him.

And for whatever it's worth, times for me are very hard. This is simply one thing that makes it even harder.

I don't post here much anymore. If I want drama ill watch MTV.
My Name Richard Stevens. I am a former Booshway and many time officer of The Ancient Ones Of Maine. So I will Speak for the club. WE HAVE NO DOG IN THIS FIGHT. Again the club has no control of a members personal affairs.

Richard, my intention was never to involve the Ancient Ones in this. I have simply been looking for some way to get Roy to contact me. That's why I asked if you Ancient Ones might point me in the right direction.

I appreciate your comment, and won't mention your group again.

I think everyone acknowledges that the issue is between Roy and his customers and no one else.

In Homesteader's defense, he is not the one who added Ancient Ones Of Maine to the discussion.

First posting,, third Paragraph ,,
third posting ref: Bagman ,, with web site listed !!!
Been refered to more than once in this matter,, The only Ancient Ones I knew/know of was AOM,, as I posted ,,
Neither here nor there ,, this is between them ,,

I would drive to his house and get my moneys worth or Legal action is the next step. I waited a little over a year on 500.00(stupidly paid up front),I got my forestry plan shortly thereafter.3 years is a long time and it doesn't snow year round in Maine!

For 95 cents we could call him. https://www.peoplesmart.com/people...605679&pid=002454605679&FirstName=Roy&LastNam

I'm kinda tired of seeing this topic re-refreshed with each comment and brought to the top of the "General Muzzleloading" section.

I for one am glad it's been brought too our attention, and very happy he's in Maine.
Roy has responded on this forum but refused to address this individual issue for over a month.
The man will never get any of my money,, nor any of any monies from folks I speak to in the Rendezvous circuit or events I participate in.
Hard times are understood by those of us that have seen them and will be by those that will.
Ignoring communication with those that have your money in hand for services not delivered is theft and/or swindle and can/should be prosecuted by Law.
Gent's(?), Please lock this,, it's beatin a dead horse in the literal sense.

Point is, a simple search of this forum at any point in the future using his name will bring this thread to anyone's attention.
Roy did/is doing this to himself (period)

Agree 100%
My point was that it is easy for a person to have a phone number that is unknown. Let alone the possibility that he doesn't even own one and probably had to use someone else's computer to post his earlier comments.

Roy has a phone and a computer,Roy isn't a bad guy.
I think life happened and he got behind. When you pay for something upfront it doesn't always help. The incentive to finish a gun can surely fade. This should be a lesson to us all.
