I'm considering building my own set trigger for my current build, i'm trying to stay traditional but ive never been inside and original set trigger gun. Are there any articles online where an original set trigger gets disassembled or original style smithing articles?

Just yesterday I bought a copy of a book by T.B. Tryon which has a chapter on set triggers; with some drawings.
It is titled: The Complete Rehabilitation Of The Flintlock Rifle & Other Works
copyright 1972
The title page notes that the book is a compilation of articles from The American Rifleman, but I don't see any reference to the dates/issues of the magazines.

In Peter Alexanders book, "The Gunsmith of Grenville County" there is a section on how to fabricate set triggers. It does not look to be terribly difficult. Best of luck to you.......Daniel

Does that book have a description of how to make a three legged all steel work bench? I Remember a book that has that description, and have looked for a copy. The title sounds familiar.
