I just got back on this forum. I like to shoot a 40 caliber flintlock rifle and am waiting on a semi-custom rifle, it's been years now. I also have a repro Enfield musket and a Lyman Plains rifle, percussion. What happened to the Muzzleloader Magazine forum? I used to hang out there for awhile. It's my goal to get up to Pennsylvania for the flintlock only deer hunting season. Back here in Maryland we have a new "primitive" hunt, which is limited to flint and percussion rifles, traditional archery, etc. Being back in the suburbs, it's hard to get out to the back 40 to go hunting. My dream is to buy a few acres of forest in West Virginia to have room to roam and hunt. Just being a woods bum is my dream. So hello to all muzzle loading hunters and shooters. I like to shoot all kinds of things, from curios & relics, military guns, revolvers and semi-auto pistols, long bows, but flintlocks and percussion muzzle loaders are the most fun. These days I have been thinking of getting a smooth bore flintlock, lots to consider there. Waidmannsheil! as the Germans say.
