Hey Tom-

One thing that hasn't come up about deer or elk straps. Even pre-stretched, they're gonna stretch more if you get them wet in the field with even a moderate load in them. All leathers stretch more when wet, but elk or deer can end up down around your knees if you don't watch out.

The fix is easy- If it starts to rain, move the bag and strap under your coat.
