Bag tutorials???

Hi, I just came across 3 nice pieces leather and would like to try my luck at making a few things.

Is there a online tutorial on bag making?

I would like to make a period bag to go with my flintlock southern mountain rifle, could someone post a link or picture of a correct style bag to go with my rifle?
