Bags & Leather Straps

Most of the commercially sold possible bags are made with leather shoulder straps, like October Country's. Is this PC, or would a strap made of some sort of textile be more appropriate for the 1770-1795 period?

I suspect both would be pc..folks tended to use whatever was at hand to the purpose in those days..Hank

I've seen pics of bags dated to the 19th and 18th century that had both.

Leather is good. Fabric seems to outlast leather so you will see more fabric straps in museums because the leather ones fell apart. Use either and the PC Gods will not have anything to complain about.
