Looks like a modified round ball mold, kinda like what I use in this .36 but the diameters on those you have are pretty big. Could they have been intended for a large .44?

Awhile back there were a couple of guys boring out .44/.45 cap and ball revolvers,Rugers I think, to .50 cal. These may be bullets used in such a revolver. The heel would make for easier loading and some of the ball end would sheer off when loaded. This is all a guess but it sounds plausable.

Balletts have a hollow base/skirt,knerled sides,prelubed and REAL's.!!!I have some,a box near full, ,,shot a few,, went back to PRB.
They are in my mind a compromize between PRB and Maxie's?????Might work just great ,,just need more shooting and working up a load,,don't know just happy with PRB...
