Swab with unicorn urine. Dry with pixie dust and lube with toad saliva. It's just that simple people. 🤣

I wish good luck with your new gun as you get to know each other.
Had no trouble with the urine and dust.....but them toads are not cooperating.....and they're quick little buggers!

Here is a tip for those that use ballistol water to clean their guns :)

Use cheap metal cutting oil instead. It is a water soluble oil with anti-corrosion chemicals added. Don't get it on your hands. Those chemicals are not good for your skin! But it is way more economical to make up a whole bucket of "moose milk" with metal cutting oil than ballistol.

I think ballistiol being non toxic is the main selling point. I wish it wasn’t so expensive.

That's exactly right. It is one of the reasons why I use ballistol for the patch lubricant. No way to avoid touching the patches :)

Also, regarding metal cutting oil. That may not be such a good idea for people that don't already have ways to dispose of it properly. I use and dispose of it anyway so it is convenient for me.

Have seen plenty of contact dermatitis from ‘water soluble’ (they are not water soluble, they form an emulsified mixture with water) cutting oils and was pushed hard to find a user friendly solution. One salesman suggested that one could drink his product without any issue. Offered him a crisp $100 bill and a PO for a large order if he would drink some. He declined and the sales call was over.
