A friend brought me this rifle to clean up and ID if possible. It was found in a barn that was being torn down. there were 2 rifles and a shotgun in the it and owner said throw the muzzle loader away. The only markings I can find are, made in Belgium on the lock and on the trigger guard, Also D.C.C stamped on the bottom of the barrel. It looks to be a 45 cal rifled barrel. Any help would be appreciated!

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say it looks like a home brew to me. Stock ain’t right for any muzzleloader I’ve ever seen and I’ve never seen one where the drum was support by the stock wood instead of the lock plate. Someone more knowledgeable will be along directly.
