hello, looking for a replacement barrel for a 2nd Model/Short Land pattern brown bess. I know that Track of the Wolf offers a long land barrel by Colerain, but am looking for a short land.

Thanx in advance for the help on this!!

cut 4" off and you will have a short land barrel  Thats what I do.

So that's the only option, cutting the barrel?

There must be someone out there that sells barrels beside TOTW.

Well its not that hard to do.

Not all Brown Besses are the same. The barrel on my Japanese Bess is much more slender than the barrel on a Pedersoli. They are not interchangeable. I would suggest sending the old/unserviceable barrel to a maker who can copy it for you.

My 2 cents.

My guess is no two India made barrels are identical.

If you have the original barrel you can ship it to Colerain and they will make up a new one

how much would some thing like that cost?? Having the barell copied, and how long do you think it would take?? For say..... a long land?

Might be something you would want to call Colerain about.
