That is exactly the way I am planning my next build. .58 Rice swamped TOW style jaeger barrel, hooked breech (had to use fowler hooked tang for 1 1/8" barrel breech). Small wedges, full stock, Chambers late Ketland, Davis trigger, modified TC Hawken trigger guard. Oh, from the lock back the stock will be a thumbhole style.
Yes, it is a total fantasy build, built the way I want it, using elements of a number of different styles. I have already restocked 2 TC Hawkens very similarly, one perc.half stock & one flint full stock. They gave me a chance to prove my concept at a low cost. The look may not appeal to many, but I like it, and that's what counts.

Boy, you said a mouthful there! :rotf:

HC/PC or not, loading blocks are the only way I can afford to shoot the small calibers, especially with cold fingers or gloves. It gets danged expensive to shoot when you drop about 15 balls into tall grass for every one you manage to stuff down the bore.
I knew the cost of living in Alaska was high but that's an expense which hadn't occurred to me. :haha:
