Back up. Discovered small, very stable crack on right side from lock to trigger plate. Does not extend through stock. See photos. Easy fix for buyer (drill and pin from inside). Price reduced accordingly. Nicely executed Bedford County, PA style .45 percussion rifle. It has a 41" G.R. DOUGLAS barrel with 1:66 twist. Finish is aged patina. Bore is very good. Nicely figured Maple stock with 13.75" LOP. Brass fitted with German Silver accents. The lock is stamped DEAN MITTON inside. Mr. Mitton took over Russ Hamm's lock business. The lockplate and hammer are nicely engraved. Builder unknown. Rifle weighs about 8.2 lbs. $1100 + Shipping. See new photos below.
