I think I have beat you to it! I got one today and it,s ok apart from some pitting- yep the usual the guy has been using mineral based oil to clean it with :shake: If the truth be known I think I paid to much :hmm: but it did come with bags of wads (which,l go in the cartridge gun), 1lb of black, 150 odd caps and 20lb plus of 71/2 shot (just right for woodcock).
The nipples were seized in! Soon got them out. The original nipple key has been messed with and needs reshaping, 10 minute job at work
The ram rod is really thin! So I have donated a carbon arrow to the cause to save the original. Just a small amount of machining and I,ll be set but in the mean time I,ll give her a work out tomorrow. The main thing is it fits perfectly

I get mine in the New Year, but mine is unused and comes with all the gear i.e. flasks and cleaning stuff :) At least I know how to look after it lol.

Happy Xmas

Hope you enjoy yours. Mine has been a trial in getting it to go bang every time I pull the trigger, but I think i've got it worked out. There was a post a year or two ago about a modification to the lower Barrel flash channel that was supposed to fix the problems with failures to fire. I've not done mine yet. Might try a search and see about it. The original article was published in "Muzzle Blasts" IIRC.

Good Luck, enjoy.
