Yes, but I probably gonna sand the wrist down to that level and not use it. And the comb has way too much wood on it.

In an earlier post you said you wanted to use the Bess in reenacting. What do you want to do in the way of a persona? That will play a big part in what the gun would look like.My son and I are Native and he carries a 2nd model Bess altered to 1st model by Kit Ravenshear. It still has the 42 in barrel not one of those farby sawed off guns with a ton of brass tacks.I carry a French fusil from the 1670-1690 period and use a sling made of a narrow finger woven sash tied to the guard and the upper forestock.I like those composite muskets from the F&I and Rev War periods and have a couple of old ones. One is a fusil/musket with a 39+ in barrel in about.69 cal. very much like the ones shown by Neuman in that article or his other books on Rev.War guns. If we knew how you want to use it, we could help with what to do with it.

I'll have to use it (estuchon) has it connects to the trigger plate with a screw. Unfortunately, there isn't that much I can do with this kit, after examination, and have it not recognizable as a Pedersoli Bess. But I guess that's ok for my purposes as a Rev War re-enactor. :hmm:
