I really like CCI #11 mag caps with Triple seven for hunting. I came into about 1500 CCI #11 reg caps, and am using them with Goex seem to be ok. Some problems with the TC Seneca nipples plugging up, which doesn't happen with the hot shot nipples in my other rifles. I think it is more of a nipple problem, but then they sell nipple picks.

I've never had any problems with Remington caps, regardless how old they are. I have had a few issues in the past with CCI caps, so I avoid them if Remington is available.

Unless your caps got wet or something, I'd suspect the nipple or lock. Check the nipple for peening and make sure the hammer is snapping hard enough. Might need a spring.

If the caps don't fit tightly enough, you can grind or file the nipple back into shape, or just replace it. I'm cheap, so I take a file to mine and they're good to go in only a couple minutes.
