Depends on how thick a patch you need. I use mostly blue and white pillow ticking, #40 Drill cloth, or Denim, depending on the thickness i need.

Almost any 100% tight weave cotton cloth. The materiel depends upon the rifle. My Mountain Rifle likes .018 Ox-Yoke as does my wife's Seneca. One rifle likes .020-.022 denim where most of the rest like .024 denim. I have an old H&A cheapie that only likes .010 Ox-Yoke. Anything else needs a pile driver to get a ball down the barrel.

My .45 Pedersoli Scout and CVA showed best groups with 12 thou cotton drill. I have tried other sizes and materials. Not hard to load either.

100% COTTON IN WHATEVER THICKNESS YOU REQUIRE.
MAKE SURE IT'S A TIGHT WEAVE.
I'VE TRIED MOST EVERYTHING ELSE,BUT COTTON WORKS
JUST FINE AND IS EASY TO GET AND USE.

I use Wal-mart pillow ticking which mic's out to .017-.018 depending on the lot and the nut behind the wheel of the mic barrel. I cut mine by hand using a bottle cap to draw a pen circle on the pillow tick. I also like a bigger patch than what the pre-cut store bought patches are.

Lots of choices at a fabric store. Cotton only and take a set of mic's.
