The government hardly ever does anything about these scammers, there's YouTubers who have done more than the FBI. Mark Rober alone is more useful than the entire FBI cyber crimes division.

Having an enemy combatant as commander in chief does not help.

And then there is the caller with a heavy foreign accent claiming that you missed jury duty. Just call back with $1500 worth of gift cards and they will "cancel the arrest warrant" for you.

They never stop...
