well big mama came back home today. this is my 62 jaeger, about 8 years ago James frost carved this stock out for me and I did the wood and the metal finish. I traded it off to my good friend about 2 years after building it. well yesterday I traded him something else to get it back. I really love the smaller calibers and had full intentions of selling it on this forum when I got it back to fund another southern rifle, but I made the mistake of shooting it. my friend never shot it he put it in a safe like he

dose most of his guns and never uses them. I shot a 3 shot group to start with at 60yds, this is it. then I tweaked the sight to center. I think I will take it hunting in the morning and think on selling it,,,,,,,,,,,,

Very much looks like my .62 Jeager, but mine being much more plain-jane, no patch box or engraving. Otherwise very much the same in form. Nice rifle.

I do like the horn tip on your ram-rod, and may have to copy that. :) Mine is my #1 hunting rifle, although I do fall back on a cap-gun if the weather is especially wet and rainey. Not that I can't keep her running in the rain, just that sometimes I get lazy.

It certainly looks like a tack driver ! I might be if I were you, be having second thoughts of moving it on. Good luck on your hunt !

Everytime I see one of these Jaegers, I can't help but think of what an awesome deer gun they must be. And yours looks absolutely top notch! Yeah, I think I' have to spend some time in the woods with that one before I decided whether to sell it.

For sure, I bet it handles nice. My Jeager, which is very much like Ols, (not all Jeagers are alike)

is the best handling rifle I've ever shot. Put it at port arms, close my eyes, throw it my shoulder, open my eyes and the sights are perfectly lined up. The length, profile of the barrel, (swamped) somewhat heavy butt, just seem to make for the perfect balance. They are awesome hunting guns.

yep that is a dandy one you have! yes sir mine has a swamped Colerain barrel, it balances like a dream,,,,,,,,,

Mine has the Colerain barrel, and the rifle weighs in at 8.25#, so she carries nice all day too. Jeagers are pretty darn cool when done right. :)
