My son and I bought Pietta 1851 Navy’s and now we’re hooked. I have a New England Firearms Sidekick that I’ve had for 20 years but never fired (don’t ask). But my interest is renewed and I have questions.

I used to own a whole bunch of them. They have all seemed to migrate to my son's room. Sure to become an issue if I ever find caps...My son and I bought Pietta 1851 Navy’s and now we’re hooked. I'm new here also. Is there a list or something bout what's not kosher? Like a link to the Haram List? I was told earlier that we ain't s'posed to talk about sabots out of flinters to increase range, but I figgered it was jus' somebody ribbin' the new guy.Welcome from Maine. We are not allowed to talk about in-lines on this forum.

Yeah. Then I'm in the wrong place. I'm hardly likely to learn anything that'll be of use to me furthering my project. I'll jus' take my possibles bag an' sneak out the back.Generally speaking, this is a very traditional site...That is, cap and ball or minie type projectiles. One absolute is no discussion of modern arms (centerfires). There is a list of forum rules which spell it out. Traditional type inlines are okay to discuss, but none that take centerfire cartridges or similar set ups. No discussion of copper/non lead projectiles or plastic/nylon sabots, keeping in line with the traditional intent.
