If there is a market for it, I am sure there will be someone wanting to make bp in the usa. It’s all about dollars. I’m not sure there is a market for it anymore. Either way we still have substitutes, there not perfect but they go boom.

he’s referring to another forum. on the castboolits forum, in the muzzle loader section there is a thread about making your own bp.

For some odd reason the Muzzleloader Forum rules prohibit talk of making black powder. It's not illegal. So you've got to go to another forum for those discussions or instructions. There's the Cast Boolits forum and the Modern Muzzleloaders to check out.

Yup make my own here really easy and only cost about $5.00 a pound to make shoots great I can't tell the difference in it and store bought shot out of my .50 caliber wolf 80 grains
