Has anyone measured the thickness of the black and white striped pillow ticking?
I bought a 1/2 yard of linen a couple days ago at Hobby Lobby. It measured 0195 unwashed and 022 washed. It didn't seem to have any sizing in it.Really would like to try linen but that's a bit more difficult to find locally so I can measure it.
Would you happen to have the lot number for the linen? It seems like that would fit perfect in my rifles.I bought a 1/2 yard of linen a couple days ago at Hobby Lobby. It measured 0195 unwashed and 022 washed. It didn't seem to have any sizing in it.
When washed it didn't have all the crazy unraveling and fraying along the cut edges that are seen on #40 and ticking.
Here's a picture before washed.

And this is after washed. The fuzzy edge on the right side was like that when I bought it.

I don't know when I'll have a chance to try it. Sometime when this cold spell and wind abates.
I tossed the receipt but I think I can retrieve it. If so I will put a photo of it here in the threadWould you happen to have the lot number for the linen? It seems like that would fit perfect in my rifles.
There is little consistency in the fabric thickness of bolts of fabric at stores that sell it.Has anyone measured the thickness of the black and white striped pillow ticking?

Trial and error or the use of dial calipers are the only sure way to know.
Good news is that once you have a couple of yards of fabric you like, it will last you a long time. As in years.
is the ticking all cottonThere's nothing on the receipt that would identify it. If I decide to buy more I'll get that info for you.
