SO these were actaully free ranging feral hogs and not some hunting operation? I'm suprised hogs have made it up that far they are a real problem down here.

You guys could hunt the chatahoochee NF in northern Ga for hogs

A GA license allows all the hogs you want, one bear, 12 deer (2 bucks 10 does) and three turkeys ( spring hunt only on the turkeys). All are common in the Chatahoochee. Wardens will put you in the general area for hogs they want them shot. Reasonable public campgrounds exist.

Muzzleloading rifles are good for all these even turkeys I think they have to be .40 and above
though. Hogs are legal all year anytime small and or big game seasons are open.
