IIRC, Muzzleblast had a builder's article on these kits a few years ago, it was a beautiful gun, nautical engraving and all. It might be worth checking that out.

Charles, TVM does show these as a kit on their website. http://www.tennesseevalleymanufacturing.com

Look under their "Suggested Assemblies" link.

I have been following this thread for a while. It has caused me to get a blunderbuss itch, just when I thought I had enough muzzleloaders around.
I must admit that I am not one with the talent or time to put together a kit. I have been wanting to re-stain my Pedersoli French musket for some time now, but never seem to find the time. Anyway, I called and spoke to Jack Garner at TVM and he will be making me the blunderbus. It will cost $595, but knowing that Jack is doing the work makes the extra money worthwhile. When you consider a India import costing $495, I'd rather spend the extra money in the good ole USA. I own a Jack Garner .75 cal horse pistol, and it is a beauty. Well crafted, simple, plain, and exactly what I wanted. And it was delivered within a reasonable amount of time. Jack said the blunderbuss should be completed in a month or so. Can't wait. He is a gentleman and an honest guy to work with.
As a side note, I am anxiously waiting for delivery of a Early Rustic Arms Militia Musket that has been on order for over a year. I have been reading the thread on the disappointment of one individual who bought a kit from them. I am reserving judgement based on the fact that almost all of you who recieved a finished gun were more than satisfied. I know (hope) I will be too. I spoke with Larry several times and I've got about two more months to wait.
Sorry for such a long post. This is a nice place to spend an afternoon.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Actually, it remains unfired up to this point. One of these days I will get around to playing with it.
