Congratulations on your new gun. My thoughts on leaning the in and outs of flintlock shooting are. DON'T GIVE UP ON THEM. It will eventually come a round and the fun will begin lol. :2

Congrats Jacko! If you liked shooting the percussion guns you'll love the flintlock. Have fun and good luck on the hunts.

Adding to Jonno's comments, getting muzzleloading stuff here in Oz isn't easy (or cheap). Most places only carry a limited range. I've bought most of my stuff from Track of the Wolf (US), and even with the shipping cost I'm still better off (and at least I can get things). If you want any Lee gear, Titan Reloading (US) is very good, both with prices and service. As for powder, Combat Simulations in Toowoomba (actually at Helidon) sell Wano. 07 4697 7910 if you want to check prices.

So it all begs the question... Why bother? Why not just sell your brother's previously perfectly good caplock and go buy a flintlock already!?

Good job there Jacko. Pedersoli are finished nice hey.
So Qld, me too. I am looking forward to spending time with other blokes shooting flinters & shooting each others guns to see if it is the gun or me that has the problem.
My Pedersoli came from Forbes & Graeme is very good to deal with, good bloke.
O.
