Cash machine was just inside the door in Bldg 1... The show was actually in Enumclaw WA (Monroe was the old location 15 minutes from home instead of an hour and a half) Great weather on Saturday and lots of stuff available... You Sir made a great score, I think I saw you guys... I picked up some odds-n-ends, a bunch of $2 french flints where most of the other folks had 'em for $3.50 or more... Some really nice woven straps for my horns and ran into a bunch of folks I hadn't seen for a couple of years... Lots of smiling faces there and once again that was a really nice score, congrats!!!
It was a really nice gun show.

It’s weird to think of the replies from members who were at that show - how close we were in proximity and didn’t even know it. Maybe next show I’ll wear a plain white shirt (if the sun’s out) with my username on it written in Sharpie.

I too must’ve bumped into that seller a couple dozen times as we zig zagged the aisles. I figured he bought it and was looking for the fixin’s to make it go BOOOM! Had I been in the market….🤔 Alas, I was too busy avoiding handmade soap and beads.

I can’t speak for ‘Alexitt’ but AHEM….I got ALL the best $2.00 flints! 😘

BTW, how’d it shoot???

JR
It shot ok. I got a 3" group at 50 yds off the bench. Obviously it needs some load development. It has some rust and smelly corrosion in the chamber area. I'm working on cleaning the crud out. I have high hopes for this gun.

At my first gun show in Montana where I now live I scored five BP revolvers in two transactions that averaged to about $165 per gun. Three of them were unused, still packed in grease in the original boxes and one was a cased set. I would gladly trade them for another Parker Hale. (I love the gun shows!)

So after 2 trips to the range I've got my 3 bander sorted out a bit. The Parker gaged at a tight .577", so I needed to buy some .575" minie balls. I got some from Gunworks, they are the 460 grn Lyman burton ball. This gun shows a marked preference for 3f Goex. I settled on a load of 55 grns 3f, with the bullet lubed with TOW's mink oil. I was able to achieve 2" groups at 50 yds, although 8" high. At 100 yds it shot 2.5" groups about 4" high. And by the end of the day I was hitting a 12" dia steel gong at 200 yds.
