Guys, I have 2 questions. Does anyone know the maximum amount of BP a PA resident is allowed to keep in their home without a powder magazine? What constitutes a powder magazine in PA?

Any insight will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks guys!!

Just got back from Dixon's Muzzleloading in Kempton PA. Spoke to Gregg on this very subject for you. Gregg said that the regulation in PA is 25 pounds for an individual. Every 25 pounds requires it's own "powder magazine" constructed of wood, like a crate.

So if I understand this, that means that 24 pounds is the limit without a "powder Magazine".

Dixon's has 3 powder magazines in the store. New state laws require an inspection by the Dept. of Enviromental Protection @ $50.00 and an additional license fee of $50.00 per year, per magazine. That means his costs for handling BP just jumped by $200.00 per year. They had to raise the price on every can of BP they sell just to break even on the new regulations.

He didn't know IF and WHEN the state would want to regulate/inspect the storage of BP in an individuals' home :hmm: .

Sorry for the bad news. :shake: :bull:
