I am looking for a brass swivel gun. About 1 inch bore. I did a search on the forum but couldn't find anything. Its going in a 17' sailboat I am going to build.

Kevin, take a look at this sight.http://www.brasswithclass.com/ they have brass and steel swivel cannons 1 1/4" bore. Rather pricey I'm afraid.

Personally I would talk to "Powder Keg" .
He is on the list here for * people who make things for people *

His name is Wesley Pilley., He made me a 660 Bronze Coehorn Mortar. When I got it I was impressed., I am still impressed.
Wes loves to make things that go boom for people who like Booms.,and he is good at it.

If you will notice the color differance between the other brass type metal cannon items I have., then compare the color of Wes's Coehorn.,you can see he uses the real deal.

I got my tube from there and it was well worth the money if you ask me. They're made on my side of the border also. I wasn't sure if this would make it to Canada if I ordered elsewhere.

that mortar that looks like a bell... how do you fire that? where is the touch-hole and what kind of furniture do you rest it on? I ask because I have never seen anything like that.

I've got one but it's bent :shocked2:

I think the boat landed on it when it went down

There is a fellow in South Georgia named Brad Spears that casts some nice swivel guns about the same bore you are looking for. They are a bit rough and require some filing.
