Just bough eggs, seven dollars for an 18 flat. .38 per egg.
Just bought powder, 22.50 per pound, 12 for hazmat, .23 per shot at 70 grains. Last lead I got was 2.50 per pound. 07 per ball in a .54.
.30 per shot, plus wear on my flint and patch.
Dang! Every time I have breakfast I’m going to be thinking that’s a day at the range

We have a vegetable stand in our little town, been there over 20 years. They sell local farm eggs, real open range eggs. Beautiful pastel colors and deep orange yolks. Availablty slows in the winter of course, but my wife said the last dozen she bought was $4, they might be higher now. But she said the regular store prices here are holding at $5-$6 a dozen.

The whole egg price thing is suspicious. They claim it is because of a bird flu the egg laying chickens got... But it did not reach Connecticut,,, yet our egg prices in the grocery store went skyrocketing. Depending on brand. Stop-and-Shop's "Bowl and Basket" brand went through the roof, but "Eggland's Best" only went up a tiny bit.
I get my eggs from friends with chickens so I don't worry too much about this current egg price issue. But I do worry about our overall food situation in this country.
